Rick Ringer has been promoted to Operations Manager for Bayshore East.  Rick has been Operations Manager of 97-7 the Beach in Wasaga Beach since it launched in 2007.  As well as responsibility for CHGB-FM, Rick will be working with Ron Funnell and others on the build and launch of Sunshine 89.1/CISO-FM in Orillia.

Rick has a solid broadcasting background having spent 30 years with CHUM Limited, including 19 years on-air with CHUM-FM in Toronto.

In making the announcement, Bayshore Broadcasting President Ross Kentner said, “Rick has been a tremendous asset, especially in the hearing process and now as we start our second station in Central Ontario.  He’s a big part of community life in Wasaga now.” 

Rick says “Sunshine 89.1 is an ambitious concept to restore local radio in Orillia.  This is such a great part of Ontario, I love it here.  Especially because I met and married my beautiful wife Donna Lynn here in the Beach. I’m looking forward to the challenge of bringing Sunshine 89.1 to life.”
 
Kentner recently announced that Ron Funnell would be coming back to the market as GM/GSM for the Orillia station and has also named Mike Brough of Kincardine as Operations Manager for Bayshore West (98 the Beach, Port Elgin and 104.9 the Beach, Goderich).
