Township to Comment on OMB Ruling
Burl's Creek wins appeal to use land for Wayhome, and Boots and Hearts festivals.
We will hear from the Township of Oro-Medonte on the recent ruling from the OMB on the Temporary Use By-Law issued to Burl's Creek event grounds.
On Friday, the Ontario Municipal Board ruled in favour of Burl's Creek that will allow them to use land adjacent to the 92 acres that is currently being used.
This will open up space for camping, parking, and concessions for music festivals such as Wayhome and Boots and Hearts.
In a news release, the Township says Mayor Harry Hughes and Director of Development Andria Leigh are expected to comment on the ruling Monday afternoon at the Township Municipal Offices.
A joint news conference was held Friday with Hughes and Burl's Creek owner Stan Dunford at OK Friday Farmer's Market.
