Thunderstorms Pack A Punch

Downburst overturned a tractor trailer on Highway 400.

A line of rowdy thunderstorms caused some minor tree and shingle damage in parts of Barrie late yesterday afternoon(THURS).

Environment Canada says a downburst in the Holland Marsh area overturned a tractor trailer on Highway 400, multiple trees were blown over, a shed was flattened, and hydro poles were knocked down.

Wind gust of 85 kilometres per hour at Borden.

There was nickel sized hail in Newmarket.
