Man Shot And Robbed Of Car

Innisfil | by Ian MacLennan
The victim had stopped to talk to two youths walking along the side of the road.

A man had his car stolen, but not before he was shot several times in the shoulder with a pellet gun.

South Simcoe Police say the man told them he stopped on the 10th Line of Innisfil near Lake Simcoe around eight last night(WED) because he knew of one of two boys walking along the side of the road.

One of the youths got into the car behind the victim, pulled a gun and demanded money.

The man was shot several times with the pellet gun but was able to flee.

The suspect jumped behind the wheel and drove into a ditch, and then fled.

It didn't take long for police to find him, and the 17 year old from Innisfil faces numerous charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon and dangerous driving.
